Hong Kong’s largest bank, HSBC, is opening its cryptocurrency ETF products for trading for its customers. It was noteworthy that the giant bank offered exchange-traded funds focused on Bitcoin and Ethereum.
HSBC has announced that it will allow trading of ETFs for BTC and ETH on the Hong Kong exchange. Currently, the Hong Kong exchange has the CSOP Bitcoin Futures ETF and the CSOP Ethereum Futures ETF. Also included is the Samsung Bitcoin Futures Active ETF. HSBC is the first bank to grant access to these cryptocurrency ETFs.
Offering ETF products, HSBC also launched the Virtual Asset Investor Education Center. Hong Kong investors are required to read the educational materials before investing in any cryptocurrency-related product. Afterwards, it was seen that the transactions could be started by approving the risk explanations.
