Popular altcoin project Tezos (XTZ) has launched its fourteenth upgrade, Nairobi. It seems that the Layer 1 network can still come 8 times faster.
The highly anticipated Nairobi upgrade for the Tezos blockchain was released earlier this week. The network’s 14th upgrade increases current transaction speeds by up to eight times. At the same time, a different pricing from previous blockchain versions has also been introduced. Now, instead of a single flat fee for everyone, a new mechanism is being introduced that charges users differently based on network usage.
Development in smart roll-up technology of Nairobi and Tezos is aimed. Newer updates will now be continuously and automatically deployed thanks to a new scaling tool released with an upgrade. In the 24 hours following Nairobi, Tezos processed 68,000 transactions on its network.
