Global semiconductor stocks fell on Friday, dragged down by a sharp selloff in South Korean equities and stalled US-Iran talks.
Micron fell nearly 5%, Nvidia dropped 3.5%, and Broadcom shed 3%. AMD, Intel, and ASML also declined.
South Korea's KOSPI sank over 6%, with Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix plunging 8.6% and 7.7% respectively. A labor strike at Samsung added to supply chain concerns.
UBS warned that AI stocks may be overheated, noting that only 0.02% of global companies maintain high profitability for a decade. Geopolitical tensions remain high.
