Neftchi club has strengthened its squad with a new player.

As reported by Oxu.Az, the capital club has signed Slovak national team striker Lyubomir Tupta. The 28-year-old has penned a 2+1 year contract and will wear the number 29 jersey.

A center-forward who can also play on both wings as a winger, Tupta last played for Greek club AEL. In the 2025/2026 Greek league season, he scored 8 goals and provided 3 assists in 35 appearances.

The Slovakian has also played in Italy, Poland, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic during his career.

Lyubomir Tupta has been called up to the Slovak national team since 2023, earning 21 caps so far.
