Portugal national team star Cristiano Ronaldo has announced that the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the last of his career.

Journalist Fabrizio Romano shared Ronaldo's words on social media platform X. Ronaldo said: "This will be my last World Cup (laughs). We just need to enjoy every moment."

The 41-year-old forward is a five-time UEFA Champions League winner, European champion, and two-time UEFA Nations League winner. He holds records for most goals in international football, European Championships, Champions League, and Club World Cup.

Ronaldo has been playing for Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr since December 2022. His career includes Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus.

The Portuguese star has won the Ballon d'Or five times.
