Preparing for the new season, Qarabag has completed another transfer.

The Aghdam club signed Cebrail Makreckis from Hungarian side Ferencvaros.

The 26-year-old Latvian midfielder has penned a three-year contract. He will play for Qarabag until summer 2029 and will wear the number 25 jersey.

Born in Germany and a product of Bayer Leverkusen's academy, Makreckis has played for Bonner, Borussia Dortmund, Viktoria Berlin, and Bulgarian club Pirin Blagoevgrad. He also represented Latvia's U-19 national team in 2018.

Makreckis is the eighth signing for Qarabag this summer, following Jali Muaddib, Zakaria Savo, Samuel Lobato, Bruno Langa, Martin Zlomislic, Renaldo Sephas, and Bence Varkonyi.
