The European Cup for young judokas held in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, has ended successfully for the Azerbaijani national team.
According to the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, the team added 8 medals on the second day of the competition.
Mehdi Abbasov (81 kg) and Ramazan Ahmadov (+100 kg) won gold medals. Jasur Ibadli (81 kg), Janpolad Aliyev (100 kg) and Nargiz Ahmadova (48 kg) won silver medals, while Suleyman Shukurov (90 kg), Davud Namazli (100 kg) and Khadija Gadeshova (57 kg) earned bronze medals.
On the first day, Abil Yusubov (73 kg) had won a silver medal.
Thus, the Azerbaijani team completed the Prague European Cup with 9 medals: 2 gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze. Based on the final results, the team ranked third among 33 countries overall and first in the boys' competition.
