The immortal work of great composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli, the opera "Leyli and Majnun", was presented at the Heydar Aliyev Palace.
Baku TV prepared a backstage report, highlighting the preparation process for the performance.
"This time, five of our participants are new. Aytan Maharramova and Fuad Azizade perform as Leyli and Majnun. The events take place not in the Arabian deserts, but in Azerbaijan," said the director of the play, Nicat Kazimov.
"It's my first time playing the role of Majnun and I'm excited. Hopefully, we will successfully complete the performance," said Fuad Alizade.
People's Artist and singer Mansum Ibrahimov said he will watch "Leyli and Majnun" both as a spectator and as a teacher: "When I look at my students, I always smile, motivate and inspire them. We are behind them. We must support every talented young person."
