LONDON - Bloomsbury Publishing PLC has announced the appointment of Chris Blatchford as a non-executive director to its board, effective Monday.
Blatchford will serve on the Audit and Nomination Committees. He currently serves as Chief Technology Officer at Kingfisher plc and previously held the same role for Research at Elsevier.
The company noted Blatchford's expertise in artificial intelligence, computer information systems, and technology applications in academic publishing.
Baroness Lola Young will retire from the board at the conclusion of the 2026 Annual General Meeting, after five years of service.
Chairman John Bason expressed enthusiasm for Blatchford's commercial approach and experience, while thanking Young for her support, including her background as former Chair of the Booker Prize judges.
No further disclosures are required for Blatchford under UKLR 6.4.8R.
