LONDON & NEW YORK – Compass Pathways plc (NASDAQ:CMPS) announced the election of Kathleen Tregoning to its board of directors.

Tregoning will serve on the Compensation and Leadership Development Committee and the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee. She most recently served as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer and Head of Commercial Strategy at Cerevel Therapeutics.

Prior to that, she held the position of Executive Vice President, External Affairs at Sanofi. She spent over a decade at Biogen in corporate affairs and worked in health policy roles in the U.S. Congress.

Tregoning currently serves on the board of directors of Spero Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:SPRO). She holds a B.A. in International Relations from Stanford University and an M.A. in Public Policy from the Harvard Kennedy School.

Compass Pathways is developing COMP360, an investigational synthetic psilocybin treatment for treatment-resistant depression. The company stated that two Phase 3 trials met their primary endpoint and that a rolling new drug application submission is underway with the FDA.

Investors have responded enthusiastically, with the stock delivering a 181% return over the past year and trading near its 52-week high of $12.48. The company holds a market capitalization of $1.6 billion. According to Bond.az analysis, CMPS maintains a "Fair" financial health score.

COMP360 has received Breakthrough Therapy designation from the FDA and Innovative Licensing and Access Pathway designation in the UK. While not yet profitable, Compass maintains a strong balance sheet with more cash than debt.
