NORTHERN IRELAND - CRISM Therapeutics Corporation (AIM:CRTX) announced it has received a grant of up to £99,902 from Invest Northern Ireland to support development of its docetaxel-ChemoSeed program for prostate cancer treatment.
The non-dilutive grant covers 61% of eligible project costs and will fund R&D activities through March 2027.
Funding will support scalable manufacturing process development, analytical method establishment, scale-up for future GMP translation, and in vivo pharmacokinetic, efficacy, and toxicity studies.
Docetaxel-ChemoSeed delivers localized, sustained chemotherapy directly to tumor tissue. The company states this approach aims to improve therapeutic outcomes while reducing systemic toxicity.
Professor Chris McConville, Chief Scientific Officer of CRISM Therapeutics, said: "We are delighted to secure this grant, enabling us to accelerate development of our docetaxel-ChemoSeed prostate cancer program. Non-dilutive funding is invaluable to advance manufacturing, preclinical, and regulatory workstreams in parallel."
