LONDON - Gamma Communications PLC confirmed Thursday that it is in preliminary discussions with private equity firm Epiris LLP and a consortium comprising Oakley Capital and Giacom regarding a potential takeover.
The telecommunications company said the talks follow an earlier announcement made on April 7, 2026. The discussions remain at an early stage.
Under U.K. takeover regulations, both Epiris and the consortium must announce a firm intention to make an offer or withdraw by 5:00 p.m. London time on June 12, 2026. This represents a 28-day deadline from the announcement date.
The company stated there is no certainty that any offer will be made or what the terms might be.
Gamma noted it received a dispensation from the Panel on Takeovers and Mergers, allowing it to withhold bidder names unless identified in press speculation. Further announcements will be made when appropriate.
The announcement was released by Company Secretary Rachael Matzopoulos.
