LONDON - Hays plc announced Monday the appointment of Mark Dearnley as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately, according to a press release statement.

Dearnley had served as interim CEO since February 27, 2026. He previously held the position of Chief Digital and Technology Officer at Hays before his interim appointment.

Prior to joining Hays, Dearnley worked as Group Chief Digital Officer at Inchcape plc. His career also includes roles as Partner at Bain & Company, Chief Digital & Information Officer at HM Revenue & Customs, and Chief Information Officer, UK at Vodafone Group plc. He currently serves as a Trustee at The King's Trust.

Michael Findlay, Chair of Hays, said the board unanimously selected Dearnley following a comprehensive external and internal search. "Mark brings significant experience in driving transformation across large, global organisations," Findlay stated.

Dearnley said he feels "really energised by what we can achieve together at Hays, and confident in the direction we will be taking as a business."

The company stated that no further information is required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 6.4.8R.

Hays is a recruitment company listed on the London Stock Exchange.
