KGHM is evaluating international expansion opportunities with plans to increase annual production by approximately 100,000 tons, according to CEO Remigiusz Paszkiewicz.
The Polish mining company is targeting growth in Europe and Africa while also considering acquisition opportunities in the Americas to secure additional feedstock for its Polish smelters.
KGHM aims to finalize its expansion decision within the next several months and plans to host a strategy update in early July.
The company has accelerated its growth initiatives following the CEO transition in Q1 2026.
Morgan Stanley noted that the latest commentary introduces additional uncertainty to the equity story in the near term, highlighting the scope for further transactions.
