Playtech plc (LSE:PTEC) announced that Ian Penrose, Senior Independent Director, will step down from the Board.
Penrose will remain as Non-Executive Director, Senior Independent Director, and Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee until after the publication of the company's final results for the year ending December 31, 2026. This extended timeline ensures a smooth transition to his successor.
He joined Playtech's Board in 2018, marking nearly nine years of service upon departure.
"On behalf of the Board, I'd like to express our thanks to Ian for his invaluable contribution during a period of significant shareholder value creation and strategic transition," said John Gleasure, Non-Executive Chairman.
The company also withdrew Resolution 6 at its Annual General Meeting today, which would have proposed Penrose's re-election. The withdrawal does not affect other resolutions or proxy votes already submitted.
Playtech is a B2B technology provider for the online betting and gaming industry, employing over 7,400 people across 20 countries and operating in more than 50 regulated jurisdictions worldwide.
