Uranium Energy Corp (NYSE American:UEC) announced today the appointment of Bradley Williams as Vice President of Government Affairs.
Williams brings 18 years of experience in nuclear technology and energy policy across the Department of Energy, National Labs and Congress. He most recently served as a senior policy advisor at Idaho National Laboratory.
During his four years in the Senate, Williams participated in developing nuclear legislation including the ADVANCE Act, the Prohibiting Russian Uranium Act and the Nuclear Fuel Security Act.
The appointment comes as Uranium Energy navigates a challenging financial period. The company's stock currently trades at $13.44, down 34% from its 52-week high.
"Brad is uniquely suited to help lead this effort," said Amir Adnani, President and CEO.
The company controls uranium resources and production capacity in Wyoming and South Texas, with total licensed production capacity of approximately 12 million pounds per year.
