YY Group Holding Limited (NASDAQ:YYGH) announced its expansion into Melaka, Malaysia, through a workforce partnership with a 5-star international hotel. This marks the company's first move beyond Kuala Lumpur.
Services began on May 8. The company will provide staff for the hotel's banquet, restaurant, housekeeping, stewarding, and kitchen departments. Around 30 to 40 employees will be deployed daily.
Melaka is a UNESCO World Heritage city targeting over 19 million tourist arrivals by 2026. It is part of Malaysia's Visit Melaka campaign and the national Visit Malaysia 2026 initiative.
YY Group operates an AI-powered workforce management platform called YY Circle, matching trained personnel to daily demand in hospitality.
The company faces financial challenges. With a market cap of $4.41 million and a stock price down 99% to $1.03, it is unprofitable despite 39% revenue growth to $57.25 million. Gross profit margin is 14%.
CEO Mike Fu said: "Our AI-powered workforce platform closes the gap for both operators and workers." Southeast Asia Director Ken Teng noted the partnership reflects confidence from a regional brand.
