France's economy contracted 0.1% in the first quarter, according to final data from INSEE.

The reading was revised down from 0.0% preliminary. A Reuters poll of 19 economists had forecast no change.

Exports fell 3.5% in Q1, a sharp drop from 0.9% growth in the previous quarter, due to a decline in aeronautical exports.
