A tragic road accident on Baku's Outer Circle Highway has claimed the life of a Mercedes driver after his car slammed into a stalled truck. The incident occurred at the 5th kilometer near the Yasamal district.
According to the Main State Traffic Police Department, the truck driver, Shaban Hasanov, was forced to stop due to a mechanical failure. However, instead of taking the required safety measures, he simply placed two objects on the road behind the truck.
This reckless decision proved fatal. Orkhan Javadov, driving a Mercedes, failed to notice the stationary truck in time and collided with it at high speed. Rushed to the hospital, Javadov succumbed to his injuries.
The Traffic Police released footage of the crash, urging drivers to always follow safety protocols when encountering vehicle breakdowns. The department emphasized that similar negligence has repeatedly led to devastating accidents.
Authorities stress the importance of full compliance with traffic laws to safeguard lives. Always use warning triangles and lights, and move your vehicle off the road if possible. Remember, road safety is everyone's responsibility.
