According to Verizon's annual report, AI-related vulnerabilities exceeded stolen credentials in data breaches in 2024.
The report reviewed over 31,000 incidents. 31% of all breaches started with exploitation of vulnerabilities in an AI world.
Hackers are using generative AI across all attack stages: targeting, initial access, and malware development.
Verizon's chief information security officer Nasrin Rezai said: "We need to fight AI with AI."
