AI startup Anthropic has agreed to a $30 billion fundraising round that values the company at approximately $900 billion, nearly tripling its valuation from three months ago.

The round, expected to close this month, is co-led by Dragoneer Investment Group, Greenoaks Capital, Sequoia Capital, and Altimeter Capital, according to people familiar with the matter.

Each co-lead is expected to invest at least $2 billion, with Anthropic in talks for additional contributions to complete the funding.

Anthropic's annualized revenue is expected to surpass $45 billion soon, up fivefold from $9 billion at the end of last year.
