Bond.az -- AI startup Anthropic is set to brief members of the Financial Stability Board (FSB) on cyber vulnerabilities exposed by its latest Mythos model, according to a Financial Times report citing sources.
Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey requested the briefing to discuss the capabilities of Anthropic's Claude Mythos Preview AI model with FSB members. Bailey also chairs the FSB.
The FSB is an international body monitoring the global financial system, including officials from the US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Australia, and China.
Anthropic previously claimed Mythos "found thousands of high-severity vulnerabilities, including some in every major operating system and web browser," warning of severe fallout if released publicly.
Due to potential risks, Mythos was only released to a limited number of organizations, mostly in the US, leaving others concerned about uneven protection levels.
