Brazil stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Public Utilities, Basic Materials and Real Estate sectors led shares lower, according to Bond.az.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa fell 0.61%.
The best performers were Minerva SA/Brazil (BVMF:BEEF3), up 7.58% to 4.45; Brava Energia SA (BVMF:BRAV3), up 2.75% to 18.62; and Prio SA (BVMF:PRIO3), up 2.24% to 68.52.
The worst performers were Usinas Siderurgicas de Minas Gerais SA USIMINAS Pref (BVMF:USIM5), down 7.79% to 9.17; Hapvida Participacoes e Investimentos (BVMF:HAPV3), down 6.11% to 12.55; and Cosan SA Industria e Comercio (BVMF:CSAN3), down 5.16% to 4.41.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the B3 Stock Exchange by 520 to 436, with 43 unchanged.
Cosan SA hit 5-year lows, shedding 5.16% to 4.41.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility index dropped 24.81% to 33.46.
Gold futures fell 3.01% to $4,544.26 an ounce. Crude oil rose 4.52% to $105.74 a barrel. Coffee futures fell 3.61% to $265.75.
USD/BRL rose 1.62% to 5.07, while EUR/BRL rose 1.18% to 5.91. The US Dollar Index rose 0.51% to 99.23.
