European shares opened Monday at their highest in over two months, boosted by signs of Iran-US peace talks easing inflation fears.
The pan-European STOXX 600 rose 0.61% to 628.93 points. Banks led gains with a 1.7% jump.
Brent crude slid 5% to $98 a barrel. Lufthansa and Air France KLM shares surged 4.2% and 9% respectively.
US President Donald Trump said Washington and Iran had 'largely negotiated' a peace deal to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
Delivery Hero jumped 12% after a report that Uber's board met to raise its offer.
