Germany stocks higher at close; DAX up 1.24%

Germany stocks closed higher on Monday with DAX up 1.24%. Telecoms, financial services and retail sectors led gains. Deutsche Boerse, Rheinmetall and Deutsche Telekom among top performers.

Bond.az – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Financial Services and Retail sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX rose 1.24%, while the MDAX index gained 0.22%, and the TecDAX index gained 1.59%.

The best performers on the DAX were Deutsche Boerse AG (ETR:DB1Gn), up 4.66%, Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG) up 4.64%, and Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:DTEGn) up 4.01%. The worst performers were Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:CBKG) down 1.48%, Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:PSHG_p) down 0.94%, and Brenntag AG (ETR:BNRGn) down 0.78%.

On the MDAX, Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) rose 5.59%, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) gained 5.47%, and Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) added 4.68%. Hochtief AG (ETR:HOTG) fell 5.23%, Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) lost 3.12%, and Aurubis AG (ETR:NAFG) dropped 3.02%.

On the TecDAX, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G) surged 7.19%, Draegerwerk VZO O.N. (ETR:DRWG_p) rose 6.29%, and Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) gained 5.47%. Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) plunged 6.66%, Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) fell 3.12%, and Ottobock SE & Co KgaA (ETR:OBCK) declined 3.06%.

Advancing stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 340 to 286. Gold futures rose 0.31%, crude oil gained 1.89%, and Brent crude added 1.60%. EUR/USD was unchanged at 0.20%, while EUR/GBP fell 0.57%.
