Bond.az -- Google announced a $15 billion investment in Missouri infrastructure on Wednesday, including a new data center in New Florence in Montgomery County.

Governor Mike Kehoe said Google’s investment demonstrates Missouri’s growing position as a destination for technology and innovation. He noted the project will create jobs and provide support for local businesses and communities.

Google has so far contracted to bring more than one gigawatt of new generation capacity to Missouri. Through a partnership with Ameren, the company is supporting the development of more than 500 megawatts of additional capacity, the company said in a statement.
