Australia's Ionic Rare Earths has signed a deal with US-based critical mineral refiner Nth Cycle.
The partnership aims to boost rare earth production outside China.
Nth Cycle will supply its recycling and refining technology to support Ionic Rare Earths' operations.
Executive Chairman Brett Lynch said: "This partnership lowers costs and addresses supply chain vulnerabilities."
Shares rose 4.5% to A$0.345 in early trade.
