The US banking giant had been preparing for years with significant hiring, keeping the exact launch date under wraps.
Germany becomes Chase's second European market after the UK launch in 2021.
This move enters Europe's largest economy's crowded banking sector.
The bank will initially offer a free savings account, expanding with more accounts and products next year.
