BEIJING - Lenovo Group reported a better-than-expected 27% jump in quarterly revenue as strong PC sales boosted performance.

Shares surged 15%, making it the top gainer on the Hang Seng Index.

The PC, tablet, and smartphone division saw 24% revenue growth, the fastest in five years.

Despite chip shortages, Lenovo CEO Yang Yuanqing said a diversified supplier base helped manage costs.
