The US authorities are considering banning pregnant women without citizenship from entering the country to limit 'birth tourism'.

Oxu.Az reports, citing The Telegraph, that the White House views this practice as a national security threat. Officials fear that children born in the US could return for education and steal intellectual property.

Statistics show that around 20,000-26,000 children are born to foreign parents in the US annually.
