Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that there are no political differences between his country and the US administration, including on the Iran issue.
Oxu.Az reports that Netanyahu made the remarks in an interview with Fox News, commenting on US-Israel relations.
"I don't think there is a difference of opinion between us. The US calls us an exemplary ally. Because unlike many of your 'allies', we truly fight shoulder to shoulder with you," he said.
Netanyahu emphasized that on the Iran issue, the goals of both sides align.
"The key question is: do our goals regarding Iran differ? The answer is no. We have common goals. We want Iran to abandon its nuclear weapons program. We want enriched nuclear material to be removed from the country. We want uranium enrichment facilities to be dismantled. We have other common goals as well," the Israeli Prime Minister added.
US President Donald Trump, in an interview with Axios on Saturday, said he is ready to meet with Netanyahu next week in the US.
According to Trump, when it comes to US-Israel relations, Netanyahu knows who the main decision-maker is.
According to information published by the portal citing sources, several advisors to the White House chief are dissatisfied with Netanyahu's recent steps. It is reported that in recent months, individuals around Trump have become more skeptical of the Israeli Prime Minister and do not hide their disappointment with him.
Recall that in early June, Trump confirmed in an interview with the New York Post that he harshly criticized Netanyahu during a phone conversation, scolding him with obscene language and calling him a "damn crazy."
Earlier, Axios wrote, citing sources, that Trump harshly criticized Netanyahu, stating that Israel's actions in Lebanon jeopardize the negotiations with Iran.
