Cargo shipments from Iran to Qatar's Al Ruwais port have resumed after a nearly five-month hiatus.

According to Oxu.Az citing RIA Novosti, Iran's trade envoy in Doha, Abbas Abdolkhani, announced the resumption.

He stated that Qatar's Al Ruwais port is now accepting Iranian goods again.

Abdolkhani noted that this was achieved through coordination with the Qatari government.

The diplomat emphasized that Al Ruwais port is a key transport hub for imports into the country's domestic market. He added that restoring the logistics chain will reduce shipping costs, shorten delivery times, and increase overall trade turnover.
