Famous Azerbaijani art historian and member of the St. Petersburg Writers' Union Irada Berg has died at the age of 53.
According to Oxu.Az, the city's Culture Committee announced the news, expressing condolences to her family.
Irada Berg, also known as Irada Tofiq qizi Vovnenko, worked at the Tsarskoye Selo museum-reserve since 2003 and participated in the restoration of the famous Amber Room.
She organized charity children's balls at the Catherine Palace. In 2006, she published her first children's book, "Magic Kaleidoscope."
Since 2013, she headed the department of external relations and cultural projects at the St. Isaac's Cathedral museum complex, later becoming acting director.
The cause of death and funeral details have not been disclosed.
