Three sons of Iran's former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei - Mustafa, Meysam and Masoud - bid farewell to their father at his funeral in Tehran.
Oxu.Az reports this citing Reuters.
However, the current Supreme Leader, his son Mojtaba Khamenei, did not appear at the mourning ceremony.
The ceremony took place at the Musalla religious complex in eastern Tehran. The bodies of Ali Khamenei and four other family members - his daughter, son-in-law, daughter-in-law and 14-month-old granddaughter - were placed there.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf also recited prayers before the bodies.
Recall that on July 3, the farewell ceremony for Ali Khamenei began in Iran. Mourning events are held in Tehran, Qom, Najaf and Mashhad, and between 15 and 20 million people are expected to participate, about one-fifth of Iran's population.
