Nintendo has instructed suppliers to assemble about 20 million Switch 2 consoles through March, roughly 20% above its public sales forecast, Bloomberg reported Friday.

The company earlier projected 16.5 million Switch 2 units for the current fiscal year. The target is subject to revision but signals confidence in upcoming software.

Sales in Japan quadrupled in two weeks through May 10. Nintendo recently raised the Switch 2 price to $500 from $450, citing rising component costs.
