Northrop Grumman Wins Defense Drone Payload Contract

Northrop Grumman wins a contract as a payload provider in the Defense Department's Drone Dominance Program. The company will supply its Common UAS Payload for small drones.

Bond.az - Northrop Grumman (NYSE:NOC) has been named a winner in the Department of Defense's Drone Dominance Program Lethality Prize Challenge.

The company is now one of five preferred payload providers to identify and scale advanced payloads for small drones.

The Drone Dominance Program is a $1 billion initiative aimed at fielding over 200,000 drones by 2027.

Northrop Grumman will deliver its Common UAS Payload, an off-the-shelf fuze and effects module that integrates with aerial, maritime, and ground platforms.

The company has invested over $2 billion in solid rocket motor and munition technologies and facility modernization.

The payload features a modular, open-systems architecture for seamless integration across diverse platforms, supporting the U.S. Army's Purpose-Built Attritable Systems requirements.
