Bond.az - Poland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Banking, Developers and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 1.47%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa KĘTY SA (WA:KTY), which rose 3.41% or 39.00 points to trade at 1,182.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Powszechna Kasa Oszczednosci Bank Polski SA (WA:PKO) added 3.30% or 3.20 points to end at 100.04 and Bank Millennium SA (WA:MILP) was up 2.51% or 0.46 points to 18.56 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were MODIVO SA (WA:MDVP), which fell 2.84% or 2.36 points to trade at 80.78 at the close. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) declined 1.34% or 0.35 points to end at 25.76 and CD PROJEKT SA (WA:CDR) was down 1.19% or 3.10 points to 257.20.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 295 to 221 and 122 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupa KĘTY SA (WA:KTY) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.41% or 39.00 to 1,182.00.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 5.09% or 5.31 to $99.07 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 5.74% or 6.44 to hit $105.66 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.43% or 19.63 to trade at $4,538.37 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was unchanged 0.00% to 4.25, while USD/PLN fell 0.23% to 3.65.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.13% at 98.98.
