Shares in Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics surged on Monday, driven by expectations of meetings between Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and Korean executives.

Huang is expected to visit South Korea later this week to meet LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo and other leaders, according to a source.

Samsung shares jumped 9.5%, pushing its market value above 2,000 trillion won ($1.32 trillion). LG Electronics rose 28%.

Analysts say Nvidia's interest in Korea signals deeper cooperation in AI and robotics.
