Spain stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in Financial Services & Real Estate, Consumer Services and Building & Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 rose 2.24% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers on the IBEX 35 were Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA (BBVA), up 4.12%; Banco Santander (SAN), up 4.07%; and International Consolidated Airlines Group (ICAG), up 3.74%.
The worst performers were Repsol (REP), down 2.29%; Telefonica (TEF), down 0.27%; and Puig Brands SA (PUIGb), down 0.26%.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 155 to 38, with 20 unchanged.
Gold futures rose 1.03%. Oil prices fell: WTI down 5.35%, Brent down 5.10%.
EUR/USD was flat at 0.33% change; EUR/GBP flat at 0.19% change. The US Dollar Index fell 0.25%.
