Taiwan stocks were higher at the close on Monday, driven by gains in the Plastic, Computers & Peripherals, and Electricity sectors.

The Taiwan Weighted added 2.51% to hit a new all-time high.

Top performers: momo.com Inc (TW:8454) up 10.00%, Formosa Sumco Technology Corp (TW:3532) up 10.00%, Cheer Time Enterprise Co Ltd (TW:3229) up 10.00%.

Worst performers: Yeong Guan Energy Technology Group Co Ltd (TW:1589) down 9.92%, Chung Fu Tex-International Corp (TW:1435) down 9.51%, Lung Hwa Electronics Co Ltd (TW:2424) down 6.02%.

Crude oil rose 2.83% to $89.83, Brent up 2.44% to $93.34, while gold fell 1.01% to $4,546.70.

USD/TWD down 0.27%, TWD/CNY unchanged.
