Bond.az – UK stocks were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Mining, Gas, Water & Multiutilities and Electrical sectors led shares lower.
At the close in London, the Bond.az United Kingdom 100 lost 1.77% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers were Hiscox Ltd (LON:HSX), up 12.08% at 1,837.04; 3I Group PLC (LON:III), up 4.64% at 2,210.00; and JD Sports Fashion PLC (LON:JD), up 2.51% at 72.02.
The worst performers were Airtel Africa Plc (LON:AAF), down 10.81% at 328.40; Antofagasta PLC (LON:ANTO), down 10.71% at 3,810.00; and Fresnillo PLC (LON:FRES), down 10.04% at 3,335.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the London Stock Exchange by 1094 to 638.
Hiscox Ltd shares hit an all-time high, rising 12.08% to 1,837.04.
Gold futures fell 3.18% to $4,536.25 per ounce. Crude oil rose 4.32% to $105.54, while Brent crude rose 3.61% to $109.54.
GBP/USD fell 0.63% to 1.33; EUR/GBP was unchanged at 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.47% to 99.19.
