Washington, May 20 – Bond.az reports that the Trump administration has threatened to revoke visas for the Palestinian UN delegation if Ambassador Riyad Mansour does not withdraw his candidacy for Vice President of the UN General Assembly.
A State Department cable instructs US diplomats to warn that the bid undermines Trump's Gaza peace plan and will face consequences. The Palestinian mission has not commented.
The election for the General Assembly vice presidencies is set for June 2. Palestine holds observer state status at the UN.
