Shares of Taiwan's Vanguard International Semiconductor fell sharply on Monday.
The drop came after chipmaking giant TSMC trimmed its stake in the company.
Vanguard fell nearly 10% to T$159.0 in Taipei trade.
TSMC said on Friday it plans to sell up to 152 million shares in Vanguard through a block trade.
The sale will cut its stake to 19% from 27.1%.
TSMC said it has no plans to sell more shares and the sale won't affect strategic ties.
