Civil rights groups have sued over alleged human rights abuses at the largest U.S. immigration detention center in El Paso, Texas.
Three people have died at Camp East Montana, a tent facility set up under President Trump's mass-deportation strategy, since it opened nine months ago.
The lawsuit, filed by the ACLU and other groups, names ICE and DHS as defendants. It seeks to improve conditions for over 2,700 detainees.
"We're suing to ensure no other human being endures inhumane treatment," said ACLU attorney Kyle Virgien.
According to the complaint, detainees face physical abuse, poor medical care, solitary confinement, and exposure to diseases like measles and tuberculosis.
