Following talks in the US, Lebanon and Israel have agreed to implement a ceasefire.
According to a joint statement by the State Department, officials from both sides held negotiations in Washington on June 2-3.
The agreement stipulates that Hezbollah must cease fire and withdraw all fighters from south of the Litani River.
Under US mediation, the parties will soon establish pilot security zones controlled solely by the Lebanese Armed Forces.
Further cooperation on political and security issues will resume starting the week of June 22, with the US facilitating communication.
