WASHINGTON, May 23 - President Donald Trump said on Saturday that U.S. and Iranian negotiators were "getting a lot closer" to finalizing an agreement, according to an interview with CBS News.
"I will only sign a deal where we get everything we want," Trump was quoted as saying. He added that a final agreement would prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.
Iran, the United States and mediator Pakistan all said progress had been made in talks to end nearly three months of war.
In a separate interview with Axios, Trump said: "Either we reach a good deal or I’ll blow them to a thousand hells."
