Three people were rescued after being caught in a flood in the Girdimanchay river, passing through the Ismayilli district. The individuals—Gumshud Mardan oglu Huseynov, Ehtiram Sadig oglu Rustamov (born 1968), and Simran Eynulla oglu Azimov (born 1985)—were saved during the rescue operation.
The three were returning from a funeral in Zarnava village and attempted to cross the Girdimanchay in a Niva vehicle when they were stranded in the middle of the river due to the flood. The incident was reported at 01:57 AM to the Ismayilli State Fire Protection Unit and the Ministry of Emergency Situations' 101 Call Service.
A rescue team of 10 personnel from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was deployed to the scene. Rescuers used heavy machinery and special equipment to save the stranded individuals from the Girdimanchay river.
