The trial of Eyvaz Baghirli, born in 1995, accused of killing his father, has concluded at the Lankaran Heavy Crimes Court.
According to Oxu.Az, the defendant was sentenced to 10 years and 6 months in prison.
The incident occurred in Tazakend village, Bilasuvar district. Eyvaz argued with his brother Parviz at home. To scare his brother, he took his father's hunting rifle and aimed at him.
Seeing this, father Iqbal Baghirov tried to take the rifle. During the struggle, Eyvaz's hand hit the trigger, firing the gun. Iqbal was severely wounded and died in the hospital.
Eyvaz was arrested and sentenced to 10 years and 6 months in prison.
