A father-in-law in Baku assaulted his daughter-in-law after his grandson scored low on an exam.
According to Oxu.Az, the incident occurred in the Khazar district, Shuvalan settlement. Hasanaqa Guliyev (name changed), born in 1961, heard that his grandson scored only 130 points on the final exam. Returning home, he argued with the child's mother, blaming her for the low score.
During the argument, the man beat his daughter-in-law and threw a glass at her face. The glass shattered, causing facial injuries. Police arrived and detained Guliyev. A criminal case was opened but later dismissed after the parties reconciled in court.
