The body of Fatima Huseynova, an Azerbaijani student killed in airstrikes on Kharkiv, Ukraine, has been sent to Azerbaijan.
According to Baku TV, Fatima Huseynova, a graduate of Kharkiv Medical University, was originally from the Kurdamir region of Azerbaijan.
Born in Kharkiv, she enrolled at the medical university in 2020. Living in Germany with her family due to the war, she returned to Kharkiv on June 26 to attend the graduation ceremony and collect her diploma.
Her uncle, Azar Huseynov, said: "My angel has passed away. She was a very polite and kind-hearted girl. My heart is burning."
Her tragic death has shocked the Ukrainian community as well. A special corner was created at the university in her memory.
Fatima's body was sent to her homeland accompanied by her uncle and representatives of the Azerbaijani diaspora. She will be buried in the village of Arabqubali, Kurdamir.
